 Bruce Chester portrays Sgt William Harvey Carney of the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Civil War Regiment. Most famous for rescuing the American flag after the color bearer fell and heroically carrying it forward despite being wounded multiple times, he was the first African American awarded the Medal of Honor.

 David Breen has worked professionally in the entertainment industry for over 30 years as a director, writer, producer, and performer. He is the founder and artistic director of the King Serpent Variety Troupe, and most recently established David Breen Productions, a theater performance workshop for children.

 Whittier Mikkelsen is an author and storyteller who specializes in healing stories and giving workshops on disability and emotional healing. She has an MA in psychology and worked in emergency mental health, until pain secondary to cerebral palsy made her slow down and pursue photography, writing and storytelling.
